My Way opts for CRJ900 October 2006

My Way Airlines of Rome became the second Italian airline to select the CRJ900 when it placed an order for 19 of the aircraft in September, 2006. If Bombardier launches the CRJ900X program, 15 of the orders will be converted into CRJ900X aircraft. If the program launch does not proceed, the firm order remains for 19 CRJ900 jets.

My Way is the second Italian airline to order the CRJ900; Air One's order for six of the aircraft was announced in May, 2006.

Steven Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Regional Aircraft and Prof. Carlo Bernini, President of My Way Airlines, staged a ceremonial contract signing at Marco Polo Airport in Venice on October 6, 2006. The signing was witnessed by airline and government officials and the Italian news media.

Mr. Ridolfi also presented a cheque for $10,000 US to Mateo Marzotta, President of Fondazione per ricerca fibrosi cistica (Foundation for research into cystic fibrosis). My Way Airlines is a strong supporter of the Foundation and donates a portion of the price of each ticket sold.

Following a luncheon, the guests were taken on two flights in Bombardier's CRJ900 demonstrator aircraft.

Prof. Bernini said the airline was attracted to the CRJ900 because of its "low operating costs, quick turnaround times and outstanding passenger comfort. The CRJ900 is the ideal aircraft for our low-cost operations."

My Way plans to expand its low-cost model into Southern and Eastern Europe and to destinations in North Africa with its CRJ900 aircraft.

"Emissions and noise are well below those permitted by international agreement, and fuel consumption has been reduced considerably," said Prof. Bernini.

My Way Airlines serves scheduled destinations in Europe and the Middle East with a fleet of five Airbus A320 jets. A wholly-owned subsidiary, LTE, offers charter flights with its own fleet. The CRJ900 aircraft will fly on My Way's domestic and regional routes.

"My Way Airlines is the sixth European airline to recognize the significant benefits provided by this state-of-the-art regional jet," said Steven Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Regional Aircraft. "The CRJ has the lowest operating costs in its class, and independent surveys reveal strong praise from passengers for its cabin comfort and amenities."
