Bombardier Shows Regional Possibilities
at AIREX in Turkey
June 12, 2002

Positioned astride Europe and Asia, Turkey borders no less than nine other nations in the region. With a growing population, healthy foreign tourism industry and active regional trade with neighbouring countries, commercial aviation in Turkey is an important issue. Turkey has created new regional airports and improved others in the past decade, with an interest in developing aviation infrastructure.

To become better known in the area, Bombardier Aerospace exhibited prominently at this year's International Civil Aviation & Airport Exhibition - AIREX - held at Istanbul from June 6-9th in Istanbul. The show was attended by senior officials from the Turkish government as well as the aviation industry and large crowds of the general public.

The Lear 60 business jet and 50-seat Q300 Dash 8 regional turboprop were on static display under brilliant skies and experienced strong interest. Showcased at the exhibit were Bombardier's large range of regional and other aircraft as well as a unique cutaway model of the Australian Coastwatch maritime patrol Q200 (courtesy of Field Aviation).
