Ceremonial signing of a contract between Mesa AirGroup and Bombardier in Phoenix, Arizona for 20CRJ700s and 20 CRJ900s July 25, 2001

Employees and executives were out in force at Mesa Air Group's main hub in Phoenix on Wednesday, July 25th. The occasion? The ceremonial signing of a contract between Mesa and Bombardier for 20 CRJ700s and 20 of the first CRJ900s to an airline.

The ceremony was a celebration of the continuing relationship between Mesa and Bombardier and a chance for Mesa employees to see first-hand, the two new aircraft that will be joining their fleet. Mesa Air Group also operates the CRJ200. The new additions will complete the family of Bombardier regional jets for the airline.

Said Jonathan Ornstein, Chairman and CEO, "I look forward to the CRJ900 being online. It will be the capstone to an amazing turnaround for Mesa Air Group."

Said Steven Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Aerospace Regional Aircraft, "We are excited to have a long term deal with Mesa Air Group. As the launch airline for the CRJ900, Mesa has reaffirmed our partnership and allowed Bombardier to be a part of your exciting future."
