With an unusually steep approach angle of 5.5 degrees, London City Airport (LCY) is a uniquely challenging airport - a veritable valley landing strip disguised as the central airport in one of the world's greatest financial districts. After months of rigorous testing Bombardier's new 68 to 78-seat Q400 landed in London City in March of this year. Transport Canada and JAA approval of the Q400 into LCY is expected later this year -- which is good news to operators looking to service Europe's major markets with a larger-capacity quiet, comfortable aircraft. To see actual footage of the Q400's LCY landing and hear how the Q400 can increase your business into LCY, please email pking@dehavilland.ca to receive a multimedia presentation.
