Another First for Horizon and Bombardier June 8, 2001

Horizon Air of Seattle Washington is the first operator in North America to receive the 70-seat CRJ700, Bombardier's newest edition to the CRJ Family. The aircraft was delivered on May 17, 2001.

This is the second time Horizon has introduced a new 70-seat Bombardier aircraft to North America. Earlier this year, they launched the new Q400 turboprop on routes in the Pacific Northwest. They expect to have 15 in service by the end of the year.

Horizon Air is in the process of a major and strategic update to their fleet, based on economics and the advantage of a turboprop with jet speeds and comfort. The company will operate the CRJ700 and Q400 aircraft in complementary roles. Bombardier Aerospace is pleased to be a part of this exciting time and looks forward to more firsts with Horizon Air!
