Air Nippon Receives Dash 8/Q Series No. 600  

Bombardier Aerospace delivered the milestone 600th production Dash 8® aircraft, a Q300 model, to Air Nippon Co., Ltd. (ANK) of Tokyo, Japan. The aircraft is the first of three 56-seat Q300 aircraft ordered by Air Nippon in October, 1999.

Yuzuru Masumoto, President of ANK, accepted the aircraft from Steven Ridolfi, President of Bombardier Aerospace Regional Aircraft at the manufacturing facility in Downsview, Ontario.

Dash 8/Q Series aircraft are currently in service with more than 70 operators worldwide. With ANK's delivery, the Dash 8/Q Series program has reached 656 aircraft delivered and firm, backlogged orders. The original Dash 8 was introduced to the world on April 19th, 1983, nearly 18 years ago. Since that time the fleet has achieved over 10 million flight hours and carried nearly 300 million passengers in every region of the world, from the Arctic to the tropics.
